I’m Nika, a San Diego photographer documenting weddings, portraits, and celebrations in a way that feels natural, personal, and true to the people in front of my camera. I lead a trusted team that supports each wedding with depth and seamless coverage.
How I got here
I moved to the United States at 18 on my own and built this life from the ground up. The early years shaped me in every way. Photography had been part of my life since high school, and over time it became clear that documenting people honestly was not just something I loved, but the work I was meant to do.
Weddings came later, and my first one in 2017 stayed with me. I was drawn to the emotion, structure, and meaning of the day, and to the way an entire story could unfold in a matter of hours. What followed was years of building this work slowly and intentionally, with a deep commitment to creating photographs that feel thoughtful, lasting, and true.
The Team
Nika Libres Photography is a founder-led brand, and I lead every client experience personally. On wedding days, I’m often joined by trusted photographers who help document the day with depth and seamless coverage. For select weddings, there is also the option to work directly with my team when I’m not available, while I remain the main point of communication, oversee the creative direction, and personally curate and hand-edit every gallery to reflect the Libres Photo brand.

We believe the experience behind the photographs matters just as much as the final gallery. That means clear communication, thoughtful preparation, and a level of care that never treats your wedding like just another date on the calendar. The work is personal to us, and we approach it that way.
